What to EXPECT from training

Strong BOND with your dog

Having a dog that is well trained, obedient, happy, relaxed, responsive and easy for you to manage means you will get more pleasure from dog ownership. A training program will establish a fundamental connection between you and your pup. As you spend time together, creating boundaries, sharing experiences and learning to understand each other, a mutual respect will develop. Your dog will learn to trust and respect your judgment, and you’ll gain admiration for their potential and capabilities.

TAKE your dog with you in more places

Teaching basic commands will enable you to manage your dog more easily and become a part of the family and events, instead of being uncontrollable, misbehaving and having to be left at home or shut away by themselves in your garage. Have more enjoyable walks, stop somewhere for a coffee, take that long trip you wanted to, visit your friends or your workplace.

By training your dog and building its confidence around humans and its fellow dogs, your outings together will be an enjoyable experience for both of you. Your dog will learn to interact safely and effectively with others.

Social, FRIENDLY dog

Learning how to respond to other dogs, and what is acceptable and not acceptable in dog language is an essential life lesson they need to understand and know if they are to get along with other dogs. If your dog does not get out a great deal (with family and friends, or to events etc) this is still important.

Your dog will encounter other dogs on everyday occasions such as walks, appointments at the veterinary clinic and if they go into a kennel or boarding.

SAFETY around family, other humans and dogs

A well-trained dog, under supervision, is safer to have around family and friends. Trust your dog with your kids, enjoy a relaxed visit or visitors, don’t be concerned about your dog running away or even attacking people out of fear of the unknown.

A calm dog is confident and a lot more positively responsive to most surroundings. The safety of your pup is of paramount importance – and as its owner, it is your responsibility. Ensuring your pet listens to your commands can prevent it from experiencing potentially deadly conflict with other dogs or wild animals, running into a busy road or generally harming itself in hazardous situations.

You LEARN, have those training skills forever

Once you understand how to train a dog, you have that skill forever. Not only can this help you with all the dogs you own, but once you have mastered training your own dog, you can share your knowledge with other owners.

The best time to begin experiencing the benefits of training your dog is right now. Whether you already have a canine companion or are considering the addition of a furry family member, remember that training your pup is integral to optimising your relationship with them and providing them the best life that you possibly can.

MARIAH T – Melbourne, Vic

THANK YOU CHRIS!! Chris’ enthusiasm and knowledge about training our dog Dakota was incredible. He was great with all of our questions and was able to provide us with detailed and appropriate answers. He set a great plan for us to follow to practice when we were home and his methods were fantastic and they immediately worked with Dakota. She was captivated by Chris’ training and he was able to demonstrate to us how to properly execute certain techniques to support her behaviours. He was very honest and clear with his directions and made sure we were training Dakota in the right way. Chris was amazing and has a clear passion for training dogs. I couldn’t recommend him more highly to anyone who needs help with their dogs and needs someone who genuinely cares about the well-being and mental health of their dog.

BEK P – Melbourne, Vic

Chris was absolutely wonderful with our giant monster, Axel 👹! From attacking a dog 3 months prior to training, to being friendly with 9/10 dogs of his own free will, Axel has come such a long way thanks to the help of Chris. While no dog will ever be perfectly trained, we feel super confident in our ability to continue the process and handle our guard dog in a variety of scenarios confidently 🙏🏼🙏🏼 would highly recommend- thanks for all your help Chris (and Ronny)! 👹🐶

KYLIE LB – Melbourne, Vic

Chris is great with both people and dogs. He helped us understand Buddy’s behaviour and triggers and how to pre-empt unwanted behaviours. Buddy was terrified of water, getting in the car, resource guarding his owner, scared to get his nails clipped and pulling on the lead along with other basic obedience training. Chris was able to address each of these issues effectively. Buddy the dog loves him. Buddy still runs up to him in the park even though we have graduated from Chris. Well worth getting him.

Aimee E, Melbourne, Vic

Highly recommended. Chris (and Ronny) helped both myself and my 18 month GSD with confidence and helped us build a better bond together. Due to covid we didn’t get to socialise as much as planned which became behavioural. My puppy can now start making more doggo friends and our walks are less anxious thanks to Chris. Always professional and ready to answer my many questions.

ROUHAIFA, Melbourne, Vic

The best thing I did was choose Chris to be my GSD puppy’s trainer. Not only is Chris very knowledgeable with years of experience, he’s so friendly and genuinely wants to see you and your pup progress together.
I was having a hard time as I am a first time dog owner and Rocky was a big cheeky responsibility but Chris worked his magic and now Rocky is more responsive and obedient.
I always take the chance to recommend Chris to any struggling dog owner because he is simply that good 🙂

LILI C, Melbourne, Vic

Chris was beyond awesome helping train our GSD puppy. His knowledge and advice was invaluable. The patience and genuine love he has for dogs is never ending. I would strongly recommend Chris to help with your fur baby.

RALUCA H, Melbourne, Vic

Chris is one of the best trainers I’ve ever encountered -he understands dogs behavior, believes that good, positive reinforcement is an appropriate tool to reward but also he actually loves being surrounded and working with pups. It is amazing how well behaved my dogs-Toby and Mishka became from only just a few interactions/ lessons we’ve had so far, looking forward after the lockdown to work more on recall and improving their attention span/focus on me. Can’t recommend enough Dogs with attitude, perfect fit for my needy, sometimes anxious pups🥰🙌

KELLIE L, Melbourne, Vic

I’ve been lucky to be able to refer many of my clients to Chris and will continue to do so in the future.
