What to EXPECT from training
Strong BOND with your dog
Having a dog that is well trained, obedient, happy, relaxed, responsive and easy for you to manage means you will get more pleasure from dog ownership. A training program will establish a fundamental connection between you and your pup. As you spend time together, creating boundaries, sharing experiences and learning to understand each other, a mutual respect will develop. Your dog will learn to trust and respect your judgment, and you’ll gain admiration for their potential and capabilities.
TAKE your dog with you in more places
Teaching basic commands will enable you to manage your dog more easily and become a part of the family and events, instead of being uncontrollable, misbehaving and having to be left at home or shut away by themselves in your garage. Have more enjoyable walks, stop somewhere for a coffee, take that long trip you wanted to, visit your friends or your workplace.
By training your dog and building its confidence around humans and its fellow dogs, your outings together will be an enjoyable experience for both of you. Your dog will learn to interact safely and effectively with others.
Social, FRIENDLY dog
Learning how to respond to other dogs, and what is acceptable and not acceptable in dog language is an essential life lesson they need to understand and know if they are to get along with other dogs. If your dog does not get out a great deal (with family and friends, or to events etc) this is still important.
Your dog will encounter other dogs on everyday occasions such as walks, appointments at the veterinary clinic and if they go into a kennel or boarding.
SAFETY around family, other humans and dogs
A well-trained dog, under supervision, is safer to have around family and friends. Trust your dog with your kids, enjoy a relaxed visit or visitors, don’t be concerned about your dog running away or even attacking people out of fear of the unknown.
A calm dog is confident and a lot more positively responsive to most surroundings. The safety of your pup is of paramount importance – and as its owner, it is your responsibility. Ensuring your pet listens to your commands can prevent it from experiencing potentially deadly conflict with other dogs or wild animals, running into a busy road or generally harming itself in hazardous situations.
You LEARN, have those training skills forever
Once you understand how to train a dog, you have that skill forever. Not only can this help you with all the dogs you own, but once you have mastered training your own dog, you can share your knowledge with other owners.
The best time to begin experiencing the benefits of training your dog is right now. Whether you already have a canine companion or are considering the addition of a furry family member, remember that training your pup is integral to optimising your relationship with them and providing them the best life that you possibly can.
